The guest lounge and public bath are complimentary during operating hours. The concept 'surprise in simplicity' extends to thoughtful amenities and design details throughout the hotel.

“In my opinion, this hotel excels with its remarkably attentive staff and prime Gion location; the personalized service, especially from the concierge, appears truly exceptional. That said, some experiences, like the limited happy hour and in-room amenities issues, suggest occasional inconsistencies. Overall, it seems a solid choice for those prioritizing location and attentive care.”

Really good Stay in a Prime Location

tea servicelobby designonsen wing
The hotel's location was excellent! It was close to many sights. I appreciated the tea service provided during check-in. The separate wings design for the rooms, lobby, and onsen created a cohesive experience.
The hotel needs SOME extra attention to cleanliness, I noticed some areas that could use improvement.

i was grateful for the hotel's proximity to many historical sites. it allowed us to see landmarks without dealing with huge crowds. the staff was helpful and the onsen was a nice relaxing experience.
The breakfast setup felt a bit chaotic. the restaurant seemed small for the number of guests it serves at once. People were often bumping into each other. i also wish there was more storage space in the room. Our luggage made it a little cramped

cramped restaurantsmall lounge
the breakfast experience bothered me a bit the restaurant felt quite cramped it seemed they tried to fit too many tables into a small space. the food was fine nothing particularly special i expected a bit more variety and higher quality considering the price point. also the guest lounge was quite small finding a seat during happy hour was a real challenge it often felt overcrowded and not very relaxing.
